About This Spot

Stepping into Bella Soriah, you immediately sense a warm, inviting pulse that feels both intimate and vibrant. Nestled in the heart of Nakusp, this Mediterranean restaurant hums with quiet energy, where the gentle clink of glasses and soft murmur of conversation create a welcoming backdrop. The pace here isn’t rushed but thoughtful, encouraging each guest to settle in and savor the unfolding experience.

The atmosphere strikes a delicate balance between rustic charm and refined simplicity. Natural light filters through modest windows, casting a golden glow over terracotta-hued walls and cozy wooden accents. Friendly greetings from the staff make you feel less like a visitor and more like a guest welcomed into a shared table, echoing the spirit of Mediterranean hospitality.

Dining at Bella Soriah is an exploration of flavors, textures, and stories woven through each dish. The kitchen embraces a palette of fresh, quality ingredients—whether it’s a vibrant mezze platter meant for sharing or the comforting richness of a shepherd’s pie infused with smoky cheddar. The interplay of familiar and unexpected flavors invites diners to pause and appreciate the subtle harmony on their plates.

Drinks here carry their own gentle adventure, with house-crafted shrubs and olives serving as perfect companions to the meal, adding bright and earthy notes that linger pleasantly. The ebb and flow of courses encourages a shared rhythm among tables, where time stretches just enough to savor human moments as much as the food itself.

Bella Soriah quietly surprises those who find it: it’s a place in a small town that carries the spirit and depth of a much larger culinary adventure, yet it remains grounded in genuine connection and care. The blend of familiar warmth and occasional unexpected delights leaves a lasting impression—one that draws you back, not just for the taste but for the comfort of belonging.

This place blew us away - Upon entering we saw how busy it was but the server kindly greeted us and the wait for a table was very short. The food was incredible, probably the best meals we've ever had dining out. Would definitely recommend stopping here!

WOW, wasn't expecting to find a place like this here. Friendly staff. Don't know how to describe the food. But it looks amazing and tastes every bit of that too.

Definitely a five star eatery to visit, especially considering it to be located in such a small town. We ordered the Mezze Platter and truffle fries, with baked artichokes standing out among the rest. Surprisingly the truffle fries topped everything for the whole meal. For main entrees, we had the homemade meatball spaghetti and beef sirloin. They are both decent but failed to wow us, partially because we already more than half full and content with the meal. Service was perfectly comfortable by Kelly, and we loved the small but cozy dining room. Tyler was not just an amazing chef but a soulful ambassador to this place, from the second we walked in to the moment when we said goodbye, glowing with his genuinely welcoming smile. The place was filled within ten minutes after it opened up at 5pm, a great sign of its popularity among locals and visitors alike. Highly recommended!

I came in when they were closing in 20 minutes and I was sorry to have them stay later than they need to and it was already almost 9 o’clock, but it was very delicious, super friendly waitress, who does speak Spanish if you need! Ha ha, great for a Spanish tapas bar. They whipped up our food quickly and I got to talk to the chefs and the owner. The food was delicious and definitely worth it! If you like tapas bars, this is a great place. I love supporting small new businesses and I pray they thrive! I love the colour of the walls also, teal! There is an outdoor seating area and their bathrooms are beautiful, with golden faucets! thank you for one of the most delicious dinners of my BC interior road trip!

It’s amazing to be able to find such a gem of a restaurant in a small town. We stayed at Halcyon hot springs for our 9th anniversary and despite the restaurant on site (Alcedo) being pretty good, this place was by far the biggest dining surprise of the entire trip. Do not pass up going to this restaurant if you are visiting. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented and the portions are excellent for Spanish tapas. This is one restaurant you won’t leave feeling hungry.

We enjoyed Bella Soriah for our 20th wedding anniversary. They have a small but thorough wine list with something for all tastes. The cocktail list is classic while still being creative. The menu was overwhelming in all the right ways, it was impossible to make the decision, so we didn’t :) Chef Tyler was kind enough to agree to choose our evening for us. We were not disappointed, all the dishes were amazing. I wish we would have been a table of 10 so we could have ordered one of everything. To top it all off the staff was welcoming, fun, and professional. I loved sitting where I could see everyone work. There is a lot of love and passion for food in this restaurant and it is tasted and enjoyed with every bite. I will definitely be coming back!
